Windsor, Connecticut’s oldest town, was established in 1633 along the
Connecticut River,
and its residents have always worked diligently to
preserve the town’s colonial charm. There is an active Historical Society
and a lovely Historic District featuring many of the town’s stately old
homes. This sense of history led to the adoption of a farsighted plan of
development, ensuring that new construction intermingles easily with the
old.
Today Windsor is a vibrant, involved community of 28,000 residents living in
pleasant neighborhoods of single family homes, condominiums and apartments.
Its children enjoy a variety of educational experiences, both public and
private, and there are a vast number of cultural opportunities and
recreational options available for all ages.
